I was trying to figure out the "meaning" behind it. My best attempt was that it was like the end of Grapes of Wrath but without the nipple, so it must be saying that there is no hope. But then I remembered this was a Christian Mag, and so then I thought, maybe they are saying don't rely on men for hope, but God. And lo, it was only a guy kissing his guns. That’s hilarious.
