Magnificent white
Yearning for the great escape
But always fenced in
Would be hard to swing
Without being seen or freeze
On the little tree
Nature decorates
The forest, needles and snow,
Leaving no footprints.
On some other world
Snow fur porcupines climb trees
And hide like geckos
Beauty in handfuls–
Holding as much as they can,
As long as they can.
Maybe sky diving
Wasn’t such a good idea
In this location
Snow-shushed but barely
budged, branches groan, scumbling
half-white with whole-white.
