The moonshine is gone
The sunlight's warming rays hint
A wavy glass cross.

(Can I riff off Phil's first line?)

I like how you describe where characters come from. You are so right. For the first time, I have deliberatly based a character on a real person, but even this one is an amalgam of all sorts of bite and pieces. I have characters I wish were me.

I think I'm ok with both. I mean, I love my books and I love to sniff my books (yes, I'm a booksniffer, too) but I'm finding my Kindle for my iTouch totally and awesomely handy.

I know, but it's not supposed to put a strain on your eyes. It will also help me save bookshelf space for rare books or first editions that I find. I was going to mention that in the post, but it was getting a bit long on its own.

I saw a woman reading on a kindle at Subway the other day. It didn't look natural. I don't like it. We stare at screens enough these days between our desktops, laptops, TV screens, iPhones, Blackberries... I don't need another screen staring back at me when it's time to sit back and relax with a good book.
