Good Christian writing is hard to find.  It’s not just America’s need to be “PC,” its tolerance of all things except Christian morality and identity.  To be frank, it’s the way the church has a tendency to choke its authors.  If only the fluff gets published, no one reads for long.  As so Christian writing  has been pigeon-holed, even by the church itself, into something cotton candy-esque, something irrational.  Truly expressive, dare I say, brilliant authors find themselves wedged into limbo.  The secular world won’t publish them because there are echoes of Christ; the Christian world won’t publish them because there are echoes of reality.  For the uber-sensitive, always sheltered Christian, there is much reading to choose from; most publishers will gear everything they print to that person, careful not to offend even the thinnest of skin.  But for authors who cry out for a venue and readers who beg for stories that don’t make them gag, I present Relief.
