While checking on your submission, you may notice that its status has changed and wonder what's going on in our super-secret editorial (virtual) conference room. Let me clarify and put your mind at ease. Once you submit the work, the status becomes "Submitted." Once each assigned editor has commented on the submission, the editors may change the status to “Reviewed,” "Under Consideration," "Editing Requested," "Accepted," or "Rejected." During this time, our editors are reading your work and placing comments into the database, discussing and debating, until a decision is made. Each change of status will be followed by an email with further explanation and/or instructions. Once all work for a single issue is accepted, authors are added to a group on the Relief Writer's Network through which contracting and data collection (and sometimes fun conversation) will be communicated regarding the upcoming issue.
